Wuling Bingo Plus appeared on the Chinese market not so long ago, but it has already managed to attract the interest of Ukrainian drivers. It is a compact electric crossover with a simple character and a practical approach to daily commuting. There is no excessive glitz or attempts to look more expensive than it is. Instead, it offers an honest set of characteristics, a comfortable interior and a fairly good range for its class.

This model is often described as an "affordable but not primitive" electric car. Indeed, Bingo Plus does not try to be premium, but it does not look simplistic either. It is designed for those who want an economical electric car with a normal trunk, adequate dynamics and a clear technological part. Let's take a closer look at the features to help you decide if it's right for you.

ECOFACTOR charging stations for electric vehicles

We remind you that you can purchase home and commercial charging stations in our online storeand also use the public charging stations ECOFACTORcharging points located throughout Ukraine. For convenient access to charging infrastructure, we recommend using our mobile applicationwhich is available on iOS and Android.

    Appearance and design

Wuling Bingo Plus does not attract attention with its loudness, its appearance is calm, thoughtful and pleasing to the eye. The main emphasis is placed on the laconicism of the forms and the overall smoothness of the silhouette. The front end has a sloping windscreen that visually lengthens the body and improves aerodynamics at the same time. The lower part of the front bumper has special deflectors that reduce air resistance and at the same time give the car a modern look.

LED optics are installed both at the front and rear, harmoniously integrated into the overall design and look good both during the day and in the dark. The grille is closed, which is typical for electric vehicles and creates a sense of completeness in the front end. The wheels are fitted with 15-inch alloy wheels with a rather neat design that does not distract attention but does not look boring.

The car is available in several colours: white, grey, red and green. Regardless of the main colour, there are contrasting black accents on the roof and mirrors, which adds a little expressiveness and dynamism to the Bingo Plus. All in all, it looks restrained but neat - exactly what you'd expect from a practical electric car for the city.

Technical base: what's under the hood and how does it drive?

All versions of the Wuling Bingo Plus are equipped with a single 75 kW electric motor, which equates to about 102 horsepower. If you think this is not enough, we remind you that the electric motor produces maximum torque from zero. The Bingo Plus has 180 Nm of traction, which allows it to move off very quickly. It gains 0-50 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.

It's not a sports car and it's not designed for the track, but in the city, this power reserve feels confident. Whether you're merging into traffic, pulling into an intersection or reacting quickly, the Bingo is no slouch.

The top speed is 140 km/h. This is enough to drive on the highway at the limit of the permitted limits. If you're concerned about consumption at high speeds, the Bingo performs well here too, thanks to its reduced drag coefficient.

    Batteries and range

This model has two versions of the battery:

    • 37.9 kWh with an official range of up to 401 km
    • 50.6 kWh with a range of up to 510 km

The figures are based on the Chinese CLTC cycle, which is somewhat optimistic. In reality, on Ukrainian roads and at variable temperatures, these figures are slightly lower. But even so, we can count on:

    • about 300-330 km in the version with a smaller battery
    • up to 430 km in the version with a larger

And it is impressive. Especially when you consider that this is a compact city crossover. For those who drive not only around the city but also regularly go to the country, to visit relatives or on business trips, this is a very strong argument. You don't have to panic about every charging station on the map.

    Charging: how convenient is it?

One of the key advantages of Wuling Bingo Plus is an adequate charging time. If you connect the machine to a regular household network or a standard 7 kW AC charger, you will get the following figures:

    • Battery 37.9 kWh charges in about 7.5 hours
    • Battery 50.6 kWh - in 11 hours with a more powerful charge

Fast charging (DC) is also included: you can top up the 30% to 80% in 30-35 minutes. This is more than enough time for a coffee at the petrol station or a break on the road.

    Connector and cables

The model is equipped with the Chinese GB/T standard for AC and DC charging. To connect to public Ukrainian CCS2 and Type 2 stations, special adapters/converters are required, which are not always included in the package. However, a mobile charger is often included in the package, which can be plugged into a regular outlet and is suitable for temporary home use.

Having an electric car with good performance is only part of the story. Equally important is where, how and how convenient it is to charge it. At ECOFACTOR, we are working to make charging a car like the Wuling Bingo Plus in Ukraine as easy as pouring yourself a cup of coffee in the morning.

Dimensions and practicality: how much space does it have?

In terms of size, the Wuling Bingo Plus is very close to the compact hatchbacks and crossovers that are popular in our country:

    • Length: 4090 mm
    • Width: 1720 mm
    • Height: 1575 mm
    • Wheelbase: 2610 mm

That is, it is slightly larger than the Renault Zoe, but not so much that there are problems with parking in residential areas or in narrow courtyards.

    Salon

Despite its modest dimensions, the Bingo Plus has plenty of space inside. Officially, it is a 5-seater, which is an important advantage over smaller electric cars, which are often 4-seaters. The rear row of seats is particularly pleasing: there is up to 880 mm of knee room, and this is in a car that is just over four metres long.

The plastic in the cabin is soft and pleasant to the touch. Seat upholstery depends on the configuration, but even the basic variants do not cause a feeling of "cheapness".

    Trunk

Bingo is a pleasant surprise here:

    • Capacity - up to 1450 litres when folded
    • The rear row seats fold down in a 5/5 split-folding ratio
    • There are 23 additional compartments in the cabin - cup holders, shelves, pockets

This means that the car is not just roomy - it's livable. Shopping bags, children's clothes, a laptop, picnic supplies - everything has its place.

Equipment: what do you get for your money?

All trims have a basic set of amenities:

    • Air conditioning or climate control
    • Keyless entry and start-up
    • Multifunctional steering wheel
    • Electric windows for all doors
    • Rain sensors and automatic headlamps

The more expensive versions add six-way electric adjustment of the driver's seat, which is rare in this class.

A separate pride of Bingo Plus is the multimedia system:

    • 10.1-inch touchscreen with proprietary LingOS interface
    • 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
    • Bluetooth, navigation, voice control

The system is fast, the sensor responds instantly, and the graphics do not look outdated. For the user, this means less irritation and more convenience.

    Security.

Despite the budget price, Wuling did not sacrifice safety:

    • 4 airbags in most configurations
    • ABS, EBD, ESC systems
    • Autohold automatic handbrake
    • Hill start assist system

The body frame is made of high-strength steel (up to 75% total weight), which increases passive safety in the event of an accident.

    Advantages and disadvantages

When choosing an electric car, you always weigh up what you really get for your money and what nuances you have to put up with. In the case of the Wuling Bingo Plus, the picture looks quite balanced. This crossover has a number of obvious advantages that make it an attractive option for daily commuting and even short trips. But at the same time, there are things that you should know about in advance.

    Pros.

    • Significant power reserve
    • Spacious interior
    • Good luggage compartment
    • Modern multimedia
    • Security at the level of

    Cons

    • No official representative office in Ukraine
    • Menu or system adaptation may be required
    • Requires an adapter for some Ukrainian chargers

In summary, Wuling Bingo Plus is an example of an electric car in which the strengths clearly outweigh the weaknesses. But these disadvantages should be taken into account before buying to avoid unpleasant surprises.

    Conclusion.

Wuling Bingo Plus is not trying to be the "electric sensation of the year" and that is exactly what makes it strong. This is a car that does not put pressure on the image or status, but calmly does its job - it drives every day, without unnecessary noise and hassle. It's not designed to impress, but it can surprise: the range is pleasantly surprising, the interior doesn't feel cramped, and the functionality is on par with more expensive competitors. This is a practical option for those who want to switch to electric traction without going into debt and without having to deal with complex technological solutions that no one can repair later.

Taking into account the operating conditions in Ukraine, Bingo Plus looks like a very logical purchase for cities and suburbs. Yes, there are nuances with adaptation and charging infrastructure, but these are things that can be easily solved in practice. But savings, simplicity and daily comfort are what you can feel from the first trip.

    Frequently asked questions

Is the claimed mileage really enough to drive long distances on the road?

Depending on the battery, Bingo Plus can travel 300-430 km in real-world conditions. If you drive calmly, without sudden accelerations and at moderate temperatures, a 200-250 km one-way trip is not a problem at all. The main thing is to think about a stop for recharging if you plan to return the same day.

How fast does the car charge at home?

The smaller battery takes approximately 10-11 hours to fully charge via a standard 220V household outlet. If you install a wall-mounted AC charger (such as a Wallbox), the time is reduced to 6-8 hours, depending on the capacity.

What kind of charging connector does Wuling Bingo Plus use?

The model is equipped with a Chinese standard that is compatible with CCS2 via an adapter. You can connect the car to public stations, but you should check the compatibility in advance or have an adapter with you, which can now be easily purchased online.

Is it difficult to service this electric car in Ukraine?

On the technical side, no. Electric vehicles generally have fewer components that break down. The main points are replacing filters, brake fluid, and checking tyres. As for software, sometimes localisation or firmware updates are required, but this is already being done by some services in Ukraine that work with Chinese cars.

Does it make sense to wait for an official importer or is it better to buy through an independent supplier?

It depends on your priorities. If you value the guarantee and service, you might want to wait. However, if you want to save money here and now and are not afraid of a little independence, many importers already offer Bingo Plus with delivery, registration, and even adaptation to Ukrainian conditions.
