In the Tesla Model 3, everything is centred around one large touchscreen. There is no dashboard, no physical buttons either. This is the "less is more" philosophy, but not everyone likes it. It takes some getting used to: even trivial actions, such as opening the glove compartment, have to be searched for in the menu. If you drive mostly by yourself and like the idea of having everything at your fingertips on your tablet, it will be convenient. BYD Seal 06 GT has more classics. There is a separate digital instrument cluster, separate climate and multimedia controls, and even the buttons have not disappeared altogether. The central display rotates - horizontally for multimedia, vertically for navigation. It's very convenient. The trim materials are pleasant to the touch, and you can feel the attention to detail in the cabin. Even in mid-range trim levels, there are heated seats, rear ventilation, and lighting.

The BYD will be more comfortable for the family: more comfortable seating, more legroom, a place to put a child seat, and the trunk has a well-thought-out shape and is quite deep.

Equipment and technology under the hood

Tesla is often presented as not just a car, but an entire digital ecosystem. Access to the car through the app, firmware updates over the air, autopilot, keyless entry, Sentry Mode, Dog Mode - the list is long. But some of these features either do not work fully in Ukraine or require separate activation. For example, autopilot may not always be useful on our roads, and new features are not always stable after updates.

BYD relies on everything working immediately and without unnecessary settings. One of the main advantages is the Blade Battery. This is not just a marketing name: the battery is actually considered safer, heats up less, and has a longer service life. In addition, the car is equipped with a wide range of driver assistance systems: active braking, adaptive cruise, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring.

The top versions have all-wheel drive, and the power output reaches 422 hp. And even in the simpler configurations, the technical part doesn't look cut down.

The Model 3 in the Long Range version has a range of about 550 km according to the EPA. The Standard version is slightly less. Acceleration to hundreds is 5.6 seconds. Here Tesla really looks convincing, especially in the Performance modification.

BYD Seal 06 GT has several versions. The most expensive is all-wheel drive, 422 hp, 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. Standard equipment includes rear-wheel drive, 218 or 224 hp, a range of 505 to 605 km on the Chinese CLTC cycle, which is slightly overestimated compared to the EPA. But even if you subtract 15-20%, the figures remain decent.

Charging: where is more convenient and faster

In an ideal world, Tesla would have an advantage here thanks to its Supercharger network. But in Ukraine, these stations are not officially operational. Therefore, most users charge at regular public stations, where Tesla requires adapters or a separate cable.

The BYD Seal 06 GT charges without any tambourine dancing. As standard, slow charging lasts up to 10.4 hours, while fast charging takes about 20 minutes. Tesla's speed is slightly faster, but in Ukraine, this difference is not so critical. The biggest advantage of BYD is its compatibility with popular charging systems in Ukraine without additional adapters.

Tesla is more expensive on the Ukrainian market due to the brand, imports, and general recognition. As of September 2025, a new Model 3 will cost around $36,000. Used models are slightly cheaper, but often with mileage in the US.

The BYD Seal 06 GT starts at $21 800 for the basic configuration. The most powerful - up to $28 600. For this money, you will get a new car with a good level of equipment. Imports from China have already been established, so there are fewer delays or problems with delivery.
