The MG4 EV, with its 51 kWh battery as standard, is a rear-wheel drive electric vehicle that combines stable dynamics with smooth road behaviour. Its 125 kW (170 hp) electric motor delivers 250 Nm of torque, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in around 7.7 seconds. The top speed is limited to 160 km/h, which is well suited to its class and its intended use - city and suburban driving.

The rear-wheel drive design ensures an even 50:50 weight distribution between the axles. This has a positive effect on handling, especially when cornering or on slippery surfaces. The car does not "float" on the road, but stays firm and predictable, which is noticeable even when changing lanes or braking hard.

The suspension is tuned for comfort without excessive stiffness. The front is MacPherson and the rear is a multi-link design that provides stability at high speeds and significantly reduces roll. On the highway, the electric car behaves confidently: acceleration is smooth but fast, and the pedal response is instantaneous.
