The Model Y in the basic rear-wheel drive version has an output of 200 kW (272 hp) and accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds. Of course, Tesla has more powerful variants - Long Range and Performance, but we are considering the basic configuration.

NIO ET5 Touring

This is a completely different story. The NIO ET5 Touring has two electric motors with a combined output of 360 kW (489 hp) and 700 Nm of torque. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes just 4 seconds. And although this dynamic is impressive, it is delivered very smoothly: the car does not "jump" but confidently gains speed.

The ET5 Touring is equipped with all-wheel drive, which is especially important for Ukrainian winters and country roads. The car confidently holds its grip even on slippery asphalt.

Power reserve and efficiency

Fast charging and easy travelling

• Tesla Model Y supports 11 kW alternating current (AC) and up to 175 kW direct current (DC) charging. This means that the 10% to 80% can be charged in approximately 24 minutes.
• NIO ET5 Touring has similar parameters: 11 kW AC and up to 140 kW DC, the 10-80% takes about 30 minutes to charge.

In practice, Tesla is slightly faster at fast stations, especially if they are branded Superchargers. But in Ukraine, Tesla's network is limited, so both models will be charged mostly from conventional CCS stations.
