Electric vehicles have long ceased to be something exotic on our roads. In the capital, they are seen every day, in big cities they can be found at almost every traffic light, and in smaller towns they are also appearing more and more often. Against this backdrop, a new player with a complicated name, Zeekr, stands out in the Ukrainian market. This is a brand from Geely, which, to be honest, has broken into the industry quite boldly. The Zeekr X model has become one of those new products that immediately aroused real interest: compact dimensions, premium interior, modern batteries, good acceleration performance and a real range that does not crumble in our weather.

In this article, we will analyse the characteristics of Zeekr X in as much detail as possible. Not only the general figures that are usually presented in advertising materials, but also the real parameters confirmed by tests and technical documentation. We will also find out how this car behaves in winter, which charging options are really useful in Ukraine, what packages are available, and how they differ from each other.

We remind you that you can purchase home and commercial charging stations in our online storeand also use the public charging stations ECOFACTORcharging points located throughout Ukraine. For convenient access to charging infrastructure, we recommend using our mobile applicationwhich is available on iOS and Android.

What is Zeekr X: the general concept of the model

Zeekr X is positioned as a compact urban electric crossover in the premium segment. Although its shape is closer to a hatchback with increased ground clearance, the manufacturer logically presents it as an SUV, because in today's realities it sounds more profitable and closer to the expectations of the buyer.

The model is based on the SEA platform, designed by Geely engineers specifically for electric vehicles. The Smart #1 is based on the same platform, so the two models feel really close. But the Zeekr X is slightly larger, wider and lower, which gives it better stability on the road.

Interestingly, Zeekr X was originally designed as a technological car. There are almost no elements in it that are installed just for the sake of appearance. Every little thing works for convenience: doors without handles, a screen that moves towards the passenger, an optional fridge, seats with massage functions, and various intelligent modes. And yes, all the batteries for this model are produced by VREMT, part of the Geely Group, which means quality control within a single concern.

Zeekr X specifications: dimensions, weight, ground clearance

In real life, dimensions mean more than meets the eye. Narrow courtyards, tight underground car parks, curbs and manholes that abound on Ukrainian roads quickly put everything in its place.

The main dimensions of Zeekr X:

    • Length: 4432 mm
    • Width: 1836 mm
    • Height: 1566 mm
    • Wheelbase: 2750 mm
    • Ground clearance: 170 mm
    • Weight: 1930 kg

In terms of dimensions, it is almost in the same class as the Volvo EX30 and slightly larger than the Kia Niro EV. Zeekr X does not look bulky, but there is plenty of space in the cabin: the long wheelbase plays a key role here. The ground clearance allows you to move around the city, where sometimes everything is possible. But this is not an SUV, so don't expect miracles on dirt roads.

    Engine and performance

The rear-wheel-drive version of the Zeekr X has a single electric motor on the rear axle, which produces 200 kW of power and 343 Nm of torque. The car takes 5.9 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h, which makes it lively enough for the city and the highway. The top speed is limited to 190 km/h, so there is plenty of dynamics in all typical driving scenarios.

The battery has 49 kWh of usable capacity, and the Zeekr X has a range of 190-395 km, depending on the time of year and terrain. In summer, the range increases significantly, especially in the city, where the recuperation system works more efficiently. Importantly, the Zeekr X is equipped with a heat pump and optimised electronics, so it maintains a more stable performance in winter, even though it uses an LFP battery.

    Brief characteristics:

    • Power: 200 kW
    • Torque: 343 Nm
    • 0-100 km/h: 5.9 с
    • Maximum speed: 190 km/h
    • Useful battery capacity: 49 kWh
    • Heat pump: є

Despite its compact dimensions, the rear-wheel drive version feels balanced. It's more economical than AWD and allows you to get the most out of your driving range. This is the option that suits most drivers looking for a comfortable electric crossover without frills.

Zeekr X battery life: real numbers

Official data (WLTP) always looks nice, but we all know that in Ukraine, with its cold weather, distances and traffic, it is the reality that matters.

    Real indicators:

    • Combined mode in summer: 310 km
    • Combined in winterу: 230 km
    • The city in summer: 395 km
    • The track in winter: 190 km
    • Average consumption: 181 Wg/km

As a result, the Zeekr X behaves quite predictably and does not surprise with sharp drops in mileage. It doesn't claim to set any fuel economy records, but it doesn't consume too much energy either. For daily commuting, city driving and occasional highway trips, this range is enough without any worries, especially if there is a good charging infrastructure.

    Charging speed and supported capacities

One of the most important questions for a Ukrainian driver is how fast the car charges in real life.

    AC charging (type 2):

    • Maximum: 11 kW
    • Full charge: 5 h 15 min
    • Average speed: 52 km of run per hour

    DC charging (CCS):

    • Peak power output: 130 kW
    • Average power output on the 10-80%: 70 kW
    • Charging time 10-80%: 31 minutes
    • Real speed: 360 km/h

Zeekr X doesn't support Plug&Charge, but it has a battery preheat via navigation that significantly speeds up charging in winter.

    Driving and handling

Although the Zeekr X doesn't have a racing temperament, it certainly doesn't feel like a cotton car. The steering is well tuned: it's light at low speeds but gradually picks up weight as you pick up speed, giving you a good sense of control. It's not too sharp, but it's precise enough to manoeuvre comfortably in city traffic and not get nervous on the highway.

    Pendant

The Zeekr X's suspension is as follows:

    • Front: independent McPherson
    • Back: multi-lever independent

This is a classic combination for cars that want to balance stability and comfort. In practice, it works out that way: X drives over small potholes and joints gently, doesn't hit speed bumps, and doesn't rattle on pavement. On large potholes, there is sometimes a slight wobble, but it is not critical and quickly dampened.

In short, the suspension feels composed. It's not too loose, but it's not too stiff either. And this is exactly the case when the balance is really well struck. This is especially noticeable in Ukrainian realities, where one street can have pits, new asphalt, and cobblestones - everything in a row.

    Manoeuvrability and brakes

The turning radius is 11.5 metres, which is quite good for a crossover with such a base. Parking is easy for the X, especially since 360° cameras and auto-parking are included in the list of driver assistance systems.

The braking system is also well tuned. All versions have disc brakes at the front and rear, plus stabilisation, ABS, electronic power distribution (EBD), and AutoHold. In practice, this means that even on slippery surfaces, the car behaves predictably.

    Behaviour at speed

On the track, the Zeekr X demonstrates a calm character. Even at speeds of 110-120 km/h, it does not "float", sway, or take control out of your hands. The aerodynamics are well thought out (drag coefficient is 0.28), so headwinds do not create strong noise or vibrations. Noise insulation in the cabin is excellent, especially in the 4-seater YOU version with premium trim.

    Interior and space inside

Zeekr X is well designed in terms of ergonomics. It doesn't look overcrowded with elements, but there are plenty of functions.

What Ukrainian drivers will especially like

    • movable 14.6-inch screen
    • comfortable seats with ventilation
    • frameless doors that look more expensive than the car costs
    • huge space in the front row
    • HUD with normal brightness
    • spacious niches and adequate boot space (362 litres)

The YOU package (4 seats) has very comfortable Cloud Zero Gravity seats. This is not marketing, they are really comfortable: they have advanced adjustments, heating, ventilation and massage.

    Security systems and assistants

Zeekr X has received high marks from Euro NCAP:

    • Adult passengers: 91%
    • Children: 90%
    • Pedestrians: 84%
    • Security systems: 83%

Zeekr X is equipped with a full range of modern driver assistants that actually work and don't constantly try to take over. Adaptive cruise control maintains a safe distance and helps keep the car in the lane. The emergency braking system is able to recognise pedestrians and reacts quite clearly. There is also blind spot monitoring, lane change assistant, and an obstacle warning system to help the driver when reversing. There is also a separate function for monitoring the driver's condition, which can detect fatigue or inattention. All these systems work without being too intrusive, which is important, especially in the conditions of our roads.

Charging infrastructure: is Zeekr X right for Ukraine?

In Ukraine, it is important that the car works properly:

    • with AC 11 kW
    • with DC 120-130 kW
    • in winter on fast chargers
    • on long journeys

Zeekr X meets these requirements. There are already a sufficient number of 120-130 kW fast charging stations on the country's highways, where the car shows a decent charging speed.

The app is regularly updated, and the map shows up-to-date information on more than 2000 charging points in Ukraine.

Why this is important for Zeekr X owners

The Zeekr X charges quickly, but you can only achieve its full potential with the right infrastructure. ECOFACTOR helps make this process simple, straightforward and sustainable. Every day, we work to make charging as familiar as filling up with fuel - only cleaner and cheaper.

Advantages and disadvantages of Zeekr X

    Advantages.

Zeekr X has many strengths that will definitely appeal to Ukrainian drivers. First of all, it's worth noting the high-quality, well-built interior, which looks modern and is not inferior to many European models. In the version with rear-wheel drive, the range is really nice - it allows you to drive safely for several days without recharging, even in winter. Fast charging is also a plus: Zeekr X shows competitive results on both AC and DC stations. The seats are comfortable, with good ergonomics and additional features - convenient even on long journeys. In addition, the set of electronic assistants is really wide and works adequately. Another significant plus is the stable operation of the battery in the cold season, which is critical in our climate.

    Disadvantages.

Of course, there is no such thing as a perfect car, and Zeekr X has its own nuances. The trunk is not very large, so it may not be enough for family trips with several suitcases. There is also no Plug&Charge support, which could make the charging process even more convenient. The movable central screen looks unusual, but not all passengers and drivers like it when the display changes position. Another thing is the price of additional options. If you want to get a full set of functions, the cost may increase significantly. But overall, the model definitely has more advantages than disadvantages.

Conclusion: is it worth buying Zeekr X in Ukraine

The Zeekr X really is a balanced electric crossover. It is powerful enough, has a normal range, charges quickly, and the interior looks like a car of a higher class. This is exactly the case when a Chinese manufacturer has not just made a cheaper copy of a European electric car, but rather offered something fresh and thoughtful.

Will it work for everyone? No. But for most city drivers in Ukraine, it will be a very good choice. The car reliably holds a charge, rides nicely, behaves well in winter conditions and does not require any extra hassle from the owner.

If you're looking for a compact but premium electric car that performs as promised in the specs, the Zeekr X is definitely worth considering.

    The most frequently asked questions

How far can Zeekr X really go on a single charge in winter?

In short, about 230 km in mixed mode. These are not brochure fantasies, but proven figures for conditions with temperatures just below freezing, interior heating and standard driving style.

Can I charge Zeekr X at home?

So, if you have a three-phase network and a normal charger (up to 11 kW), you can fully charge your car in 5-6 hours. Even with a 7 kW socket, it will charge, just longer.

Is Zeekr X suitable for a family with two children?

If we are talking about daily trips, school, work, the supermarket - yes, it is convenient and comfortable. But if you often travel with a full boot, you should think about it. The volume of the luggage compartment is not a record.

How does the Zeekr X behave on the track?

Quiet. At 110-120 km/h, the car does not make noise, does not sway, and confidently holds the lane. The driver assistance system doesn't interfere with this, but really helps. By the way, the cruise works smoothly, without sudden braking.
