XPeng is gradually shedding the label of “just another Chinese brand” and starting to play in a different league. Their P7+ 2026 looks confident, rides smoothly, and charges faster than you can drink coffee. But let’s not jump to conclusions.

This review is not about advertising promises. We will look at XPeng P7+ as a driver does: what is convenient, what raises questions, and where the real numbers differ from the paper ones. Without pathos, but without prejudice. Just facts, experience and a little healthy scepticism – exactly what you need when choosing an electric car for years to come.

General concept of XPeng P7+ 2026

XPeng P7+ is not about status or technological experiments. It is about practical electric mobility without unnecessary compromises in everyday use. At the centre of the concept is a combination of a good range, a comfortable platform, relatively light weight and simple charging logic.

The car is built on the proprietary XPeng SEPA 2.0 platform. This is a modern EV architecture with support for 800-volt charging infrastructure, which allows the battery to be quickly recharged without overheating. At the same time, this is not a case where a high technical ceiling goes hand in hand with a sky-high price.

The main parameters that form the concept

To better understand what the XPeng P7+ is in practice, it’s worth looking at the key characteristics that determine its road behaviour, usability and overall design approach:

  • Body type: Liftback saloon in the E class
  • Platform.: XPeng SEPA 2.0
  • Drive type: Rear
  • Architecture: 800 В
  • Battery type: LFP (lithium iron phosphate)
  • Useful battery capacity: 60 kWh
  • Real power reserve: 375 km
  • Max. charging power DC: 350 kW
  • V2L support: Yes (up to 3.3 kW)
  • Plug & Charge: Not supported
  • Weight of the car: 2074 kg
  • Boot capacity: 573 litres (max. up to 1931 litres)

Power reserve: not the numbers in the brochure, but the real distance

The XPeng P7+ passport says 455 km WLTP. But those who have been following electric cars for a long time know that these figures are only good for advertising slides. The reality is more modest, and fortunately, it does not disappoint here.

EV Database estimates a realistic range of 375 km. This is an average figure that takes into account normal driving style, mixed traffic and moderate weather. In the city in the warm season, the car can travel up to 535 km, but on the highway in winter, this figure drops to 270 km. If you are planning a long-distance trip, you should take this into account.

The efficiency is particularly noteworthy. The P7+ consumes 160 Watt-hours per km in a real mixed cycle, which is quite adequate for a vehicle weighing more than 2 tonnes. In the city in the summer, energy consumption can even drop to 112 W-min/km. This means that XPeng proves to be economical at a calm pace, and the range does not “melt” with every kilometre.

Estimating the power reserve by conditions:

  • City, warm weatherup to 535 km
  • City, cold weather: ~350 km
  • Track, warm weather: ~355 km
  • Track, cold weather: ~270 km
  • Mixed cycle, summer: ~435 km
  • Mixed cycle, winter: ~310 km

XPeng does not try to surprise with unrealistic figures. Everything that is stated is approximately true. For city routes and commuter trips, this is more than enough. When it comes to travelling, there is another factor to consider – charging speed. We’ll talk about it next.

Charging: fast, but not magical

When you have an 800-volt platform and support for 350 kW of power, you expect charging stops to be short. With the XPeng P7+, this is indeed the case. From 10 to 80%, the battery charges in 12 minutes. In the best conditions, the charging speed reaches 1310 km/h – one of the highest in its class.

But there is a nuance. Such figures require a station that can actually deliver 350 kW of power, and there are still not many of them in Europe. In more realistic scenarios – for example, charging at 150-175 kW – the time increases to 19-21 minutes. Still fast, but not a record.

At home or at work, you’ll get up to 11 kW of AC power via Type 2. A full charge on a 3×16A mains takes about 6.5 hours. This is normal for a night cycle, without the need for a wallbox with excessive power.

Charging options:

  • Fast DC charging (350 kW): 10-80% in 12 min
  • Fast DC charging (150-175 kW): 10-80% in 19-21 min
  • Conventional AC charging (11 kW): 0-100% in 6.5 h
  • Charging from a household outlet (2.3 kW): ~30 h

The P7+ supports Autocharge, which allows you to start charging without any additional actions if the station supports this function. However, there is no Plug & Charge according to ISO 15118, which is a small disadvantage for those who are used to maximum automation.

How we help electric car owners charge without hassle

The XPeng P7+ shows that charging is fast. And at ECOFACTOR, we make sure it’s also convenient. Wherever you go, with our infrastructure, charging is not a problem, it’s just part of the journey.

Dynamics: not sporty, but lively enough

Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 6.9 seconds, which is the level of many modern petrol sedans. There’s no sense of the car “tearing off”, but there are no delays either. The 180 kW of power and 450 Nm of thrust do their job. The P7+ accelerates confidently, without tearing off the wheels, without jerking or lagging.

The top speed is limited to 200 km/h, which is enough even for the German autobahn. The chassis doesn’t provoke aggressive driving, but it doesn’t feel “cottony”.

Comfort and space

The interior is designed for 5 people. The two rear seats have Isofix fasteners, and the seating is comfortable even for adults. There is no front boot, but the main boot has a capacity of 573 litres, and with the seats folded down – almost 2000 litres.

The steering mechanism has a turning radius of 11.7 metres, which is acceptable for a saloon over 5 metres. All models are equipped with a heat pump in the base, which improves efficiency in winter.

For long-distance trips: yes, but with amendments

XPeng P7+ received a 3 out of 5 rating for long-distance capability. And it’s fair. The first stage of the trip is up to 276 km, then 15 minutes of charging, then another 215 km. In total, almost 500 km in 4 hours and 43 minutes. Not ideal, but a good result for a model with a range of 375 km.

Conditional range with one charge (1-Stop Range):

  • Summer: 568 km
  • Average conditions: 491 km
  • Winter: 432 km
  • Overall rating: 3 з 5

Who is this electric car for

XPeng P7+ is suitable for those who:

  • He drives every day but does not cover hundreds of kilometres a day.
  • It wants fast charging even with an average battery.
  • Works in a city or suburb and doesn’t want to overpay for a Long Range.
  • He appreciates comfort without unnecessary premium elements.
  • He doesn’t chase maximum dynamics, but wants stability.

Brief conclusions

XPeng P7+ doesn’t try to impress everyone at once. It is a thoughtful, balanced electric sedan without marketing gimmicks. Its strengths are efficiency, charging and a healthy approach to daily use.

He is not a record holder, but he is stable. Not sporty, but confident. And if you want an electric car that “just works”, it’s worth taking a closer look.

Frequently asked questions

u003cstrongu003eWill 375 km of range be enough for daily driving?u003c/strongu003e

Yes, and even with a reserve. Even if you drive 50-70 km in different directions every day, you won’t need to recharge every night. In the city in the warm season, this model shows even better results. The main thing is not to press the gas to the floor at every traffic light.

u003cstrongu003eWhat stations do you need to charge in 12 minutes?u003c/strongu003e

For the maximum charging speed (350 kW), you need to look for ultra-fast stations with CCS support. Such stations are already appearing in Ukraine, in particular in the network operating on our ECOFACTOR platform. But even at 150-175 kW, the result is quite acceptable.

u003cstrongu003eЧи підтримує XPeng P7+ Plug u0026amp; Charge?u003c/strongu003e

Ні. Ця модель не має Plug u0026amp; Charge за ISO 15118. Зате підтримує Autocharge, що в багатьох випадках працює майже так само, якщо station дружня.

u003cstrongu003eHow does XPeng P7+ behave in winter?u003c/strongu003e

The range drops slightly, especially on the highway. Instead of 375 km, you’ll get about 310, or even less if you drive at high speed with the heating on. But thanks to the heat pump in the base, energy consumption in winter is not catastrophic.

u003cstrongu003eWhat is the weight of the machine and how does it affect the handling?u003c/strongu003e

The P7+ weighs just over 2 tonnes, but handles adequately. It’s not a sports car, but it handles confidently on ordinary roads. With a turning circle of 11.7 metres, it’s not a minibus, but it’s not a supercompact either.

u003cstrongu003eWhich charging cable is suitable?u003c/strongu003e

A Type 2 cable for AC and a CCS Combo 2 cable for DC are required. All of these can be easily found in our ECOFACTOR online accessory shop, along with adapters, mobile chargers and cases.

u003cstrongu003eCan I see a map of stations that are compatible with XPeng P7+?u003c/strongu003e

Yes. Our ECOFACTOR app for Android and iOS has a map with the current status of each station. You can filter by power, port type, and occupancy. Everything is simple and without registration.
