The Ukrainian Council of Shopping Centres (UCSC) is the leading association of Ukraine’s retail real estate market participants. It is a non-profit organisation that brings together owners and developers of shopping centres, as well as companies operating in the construction and servicing of retail and entertainment centres.

The Council plays a crucial role in the development of the industry: it promotes market standardisation in line with international practices, represents the industry’s interests at the governmental level, facilitates professional dialogue, and supports the integration of Ukraine’s shopping centre market into the European environment.

The shopping centre industry is a significant part of the national economy: over 5 million square metres of space across more than 300 properties, more than 450,000 jobs, and over 25% of Ukraine’s total retail turnover. We expect the sector to continue growing in the coming years, with multi-billion investments planned and new facilities set to open. Therefore, the development of modern, sustainable, and technology-driven infrastructure is one of its key priorities.

ECOFACTOR’s membership in the UCSC highlights the importance of integrating EV infrastructure into commercial real estate. Shopping centres are increasingly transforming into transport hubs, where EV charging stations are becoming an integral part of customer service, enhancing asset attractiveness and meeting the expectations of modern consumers.

For us, membership in the Ukrainian Council of Shopping Centres is an opportunity to contribute to the systematic development of the commercial real estate sector and collaborate with leading market players. EV infrastructure is already an essential component of modern shopping centres, with clients and partners including EPICENTR, XIT Mall, and others.

Membership in the UCSC opens up further opportunities to implement innovations and work jointly on raising infrastructure standards in retail spaces across Ukraine.
