The retail and supermarket sector has become a key battleground for public and semi-public EV charging, where customer dwell time, site visibility, and ease of use are as important as raw charging capacity. Our partner Auto-Charge deployed an AC charging solution for BILLA Market, a retail and supermarket operator, commissioning 4 charging units with a combined installed capacity of 176 kW and a total project value of €6,000.

Retail charging environments require a solution that is operationally invisible running reliably in the background while customers shop, without requiring constant intervention. Auto-Charge needed infrastructure that could be deployed cleanly within a supermarket parking environment and managed entirely remotely, without on-site staffing overhead.

ECOFACTOR supplied 4 AC charging stations for BILLA Market site, fully integrated into the ECOFACTOR Charge Point Management System from the moment of commissioning. The deployment was completed in August 2025. Auto-Charge is able to remotely monitor charger status in real time, manage sessions on demand, collect full telemetry across the fleet, and access comprehensive energy consumption and session reporting all from a single centralized interface.

Since commissioning, the BILLA Market installation has delivered a consistent, low-maintenance charging experience that fits naturally into the retail environment. Auto-Charge holds a technical maintenance contract for the site, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.
