Starting from 20 December, the car re-registration service was launched in the Diia app.

Of course, the vehicles must be free of any encumbrances, arrests, court orders and not be wanted. It must also be the first vehicle you sell during the calendar year, and therefore no additional sales tax is required.

ECOFACTOR checked what you need to do to use the new service in the Diia app

In the ‘Services’ section of the app, select ‘Sell a vehicle’.
Select the vehicle you plan to sell from the list (if there are several).
Enter the price of the vehicle.
Enter your contact details – phone number and email address.
On the next screen, check the draft contract to ensure all the details are correct. If so, click the ‘Confirm’ button; all that remains is to receive confirmation from the buyer. The buyer can use the QR code generated in your app or follow a link sent via email.

On the buyer’s side, the process is similar to that of the seller: choosing a service, entering the necessary data and verifying it, and signing a purchase agreement.

It should also be noted that as of 15 June 2023, it has become optional to obtain an expert opinion for the resale of a passenger car. However, for those wishing to verify the authenticity of the number plates on a car, an expert review is available for a fee, and the conclusion is valid for 10 days.

We would like to remind you that for cars sold remotely, there are new series – ED, DC – issued through the driver’s electronic cabinet, DI, PD – issued through the Diia app.
