Client: IONITY Ukraine, a Ukrainian charge point operator (CPO)

Shopping malls sit at the intersection of two things EV drivers need: a place to be anyway, and time to spare. XIT Mall in Kyiv turned that intersection into infrastructure, built in partnership with IONITY Ukraine — and the result is now the largest EV charging hub at a retail location in the country.

The Challenge

IONITY Ukraine needed a retail charging hub that works for two very different visitors — someone grabbing groceries in 20 minutes, and someone settling in for a few hours. That meant high availability, support for multiple connector standards, and enough capacity to serve tenants, visitors, and EV drivers passing through the city, without long queues during peak hours.

The Solution

ECOFACTOR partnered with IONITY Ukraine to install a high-power charging hub on the upper parking level of XIT Mall in Kyiv. The site includes 6 charging stations at 160 kW each, supporting both AC and DC charging and multiple connector types. ECOFACTOR handled installation and maintenance end-to-end, and the hub runs on the ECOFACTOR CPMS platform, giving IONITY Ukraine convenient access management, full operational control, and a premium charging experience for existing and new customers.
